Cute Circle Card!

I love Circles !! I cut a card into a circle shape, using my Coluzzle (which you can no longer buy... but I love it!). Then I just cut another smaller circle in Crushed Curry (115319), a strip of textured Melon Mambo (115719) paper and stamped three of the Circle Circus(115778) stamps in Rich Razzleberry (115658), Bermuda Bay (115655) and Soft Suede (115657) inks. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set (115370) and it's stamped in Bermuda Bay! So cute!

Using up my Scraps... part 1!

I sat and made a bunch of cards the other day from my box of scraps! It was a lot of fun piecing them together and seeing how I could use the different elements from past card classes together! I have a bunch to share... but here are two cute Birthday ones! I'm not going to go into the recipes for these cards because the majority of the elements are retired, but if you have questions about anything just leave me a comment!

New Catalog Open House!!

Last night was the Open House event to show off the new 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog! It is a beautiful catalog and I wanted the project to showcase the fun new colors! I set up my craft room for the event. It was a whole lot of fun - although I didn't get too many people out to it!! People here are just not into fun crafty stuff I guess!! Man, I miss all my North Carolina stampers!! This room would not have held you all!! Hee hee!
We did have a whole lot of fun with those who did come out and I think the new catalog is a hit!!

Here is the cute card we made!! It is a view master card! I hadn't tried one of these yet and it was a whole lot of fun to make! The card base is our new Melon Mambo cardstock! LOVE IT! The brown is the new Soft Suede cardstock. The wheel is made from Whisper White, as well as the little strip. I showed off our fun wheels to stamp across the white strip. We used the Daisy Dash wheel in Pixie Pink ink. It was a lot easier to use and clean than I thought! I think I'll use more wheels in the future! The flowers are all from the Simply Said stamp set and they are stamped in Pixie Pink ink and Pink Passion ink. I just love the little background flowers, stamped in Soft Suede ink too! All in all, a very fun card!!

Latest Five for $5 Cards!

I hosted a Five cards for $5 party a week or two ago and these are the cute cards we made!! I was on a punch kick and all of the cards used at least one punch and most of them used a bunch of punches! It was a very fun event! Let me know if you'd like to come to my next one! I can even ship you the card supplies so you can have your very own Five for Five where ever you are!!

This card uses some of my most favorite colors!! The card is made from Whisper White. The Chocolate Chip background makes the Heart punches really pop. I punched the Full Heart punch from the retired paper Cool Carribbean and the smaller heart is from the Heart to Heart punch in Tempting Turquoise cardstock. The stem and leaf I just cut myself from Old Olive cardstock. The sentiment is from the All Holidays set and it is stamped in Tempting Turquoise ink! Very sweet I think!

Five for Five Card #2

Here's a little cutie! The card is Whisper White with a strip of Kraft cardstock and some paper piercing. The Mat Pack comes with a paper piercing template that is just awesome for keeping my piercing straight! The little mini notebook front is made from Bashful Blue cardstock punched along the one side with the Spiral punch. The sentiment is from the Trendy Trees stamp set as well as the cute spiral tree which I stamped with Mellow Moss ink and Close to Cocoa for the trunk. The sentiment is stamped with Bashful Blue ink. The punch for the tree and the Mellow Moss accent is the Key Tag Punch which is now retired. I luckily snatched one up before it was gone! I think it's a great shape... Being an Army wife makes me like things shaped like Dog tags... hee hee!

Five For Five Card #3

This card was so quick and easy!! LOVE the way it turned out too! It is simply a Whisper White card with squares punched with the 1 3/8" Square Punch out of retired Designer Series Paper. I then stamped an image from the True Friend stamp set in Cameo Coral ink. I punched that out with 1 1/4 Circle Punch and layered it on a 1 3/8 Circle Punch of Cameo Coral cardstock. Easy peasy! The Thanks so Much sentiment is from the Trendy Trees set and it is stamped in Cameo Coral as well. I did a little paper piercing too... Way fun!

Five for Five #4

This card was my favorite - I'm particularly partial to green though!! Hee hee! It's a Whisper White card base with strips of Designer Series Paper and the bottom strip is Kraft cardstock. I love the Trendy Trees stamp set! This tree is stamped in Old Olive ink and Chocolate Chip ink for the trunk. I punched it with our largest circle punch (1 3/4") and layered that over two punches of the Round Tab punch pieced together to form a circle in Close to Cocoa cardstock. The Thanks so Much sentiment is from the Trendy Trees set, stamped in Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White cardstock and then layered over a punch of Old Olive punched with the Scallop Oval punch! The accent is a piece of the Word Window punch punched in Chocolate Chip cardstock with a little X drawn with the White Gel Pen we sell (that I LOVE!!) Then I finished up with some paper piercing!! Very chic!

Five for Five Card #5

Isn't this one cute!? And talk about simple!! It's just Barely Banana cardstock on top, Apricot Appeal cardstock on the bottom. The Scallop Square punch is Pumpkin Pie cardstock and the Small Star punch is Whisper White with a crisp white piece of Grosgrain ribbon! You can faintly see the stars stamped on the Banana with Banana ink. The star is from the Under the Stars stamp set and the Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Family Phrases stamp set and I stamped it in Apricot ink... whew! It sounds like a lot but it went together really quick and easy!
