September Five for $5 - #5

There are so many fun Christmas sets in the Holiday Mini and I just had to make a card with the Delightful Decorations set and matching punch!! (116517 $21.95-stamps, 116794 $15.95-punch) The card is Whisper White with the cute snowflake stamped in Old Olive. The strip of green is Old Olive (my personal favorite color ever!) and the red is Real Red. I punched the ornament out and then stamped an ornament to fit in the hole in Old Olive and punched that out too! I chalked the edges with red and added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the ornament and the "string" holding it! It was easy and the result is AWESOME! Especially with the glitter! This picture doesn't do it justice!
Thanks for looking and if you'd like to be invited to my next Five for $5 just leave me a comment with your email! I try to hold them monthly!

September Five for $5 - #4

Here's the next cutie from last night! I LOVE the Season of Friendship set!!! (111776 - $23.95) This tree is amazing! I saw a similar card on Splitcoast Stampers and had to try a Jack-o-lantern tree! The pumpkin and spider stamps are from the Eat, Drink & Be Scary set (111764 - $18.95) and the sentiment is from the All Holidays set. I stamped the tree in Chocolate Chip ink on a Whisper White card then added Old Olive leaves and Pumpkin Pie pumpkins with Summer Sun faces. The sentiment and spider are stamped in Basic Black and the strip of Old Olive makes a great accent! Three of the pumpkins are trimmed around and popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals to give it some variety. I really like the way it turned out! Jeanne tried stamping some of her leaves in Fall colors and it turned out super cute too! I love doing Five for $5 parties because I love to see how creative people are! She just took my idea and made it hers. Love it!

September Five for $5 - #3

I LOVE this card! It is my favorite from last night! I love that it looks quilted! Very fun! The recipe for this was a little tricky but the results are awesome! The paper is NOT Stampin' Up! I didn't realize that I didn't have any fall colored Designer Series Paper... so I had to use some from a Stack I purchased at JoAnn's. No worries! I also used a discontinued punch - the 3/4" square! For the quilt pieces, you simply punch a square and snip it in half then mix and match them to make the pattern. The card is Whisper White with a Kraft background for the turkey. The turkey stamp is Gobble Gobble from the Holiday Mini (116535-$6.95) punched with the 1 1/4" square punch and mounted on a 1 3/8" square punched from patterned paper. I stamped the turkey with More Mustard ink and the sentiment, from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set (115370- $36.95) is stamped in Close to Cocoa ink and punched out with the Large oval punch and mounted on a cute scalloped oval punch from patterned paper. I like the paper piercing along the base of the Kraft - a nice finishing touch to a great card!

September Five for $5 - #2

Here's the second card from my September Five for $5! I used the Pumpkin Patch set from the Holiday Mini (116499 - $22.95). The pumpkins are stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink with Creamy Caramel stems. I trimmed around them and adhered them to Certainly Celery paper stamped with grass in Old Olive ink. The card is a 3"x6" Whisper White card stamped with Pumpkin Pie swirlies. The accent paper is Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. I sure love Halloween stamps!! They remind me of my sister-in-law, Angela, who LOVES that holiday! Fun fun!

September Five for $5 - #1

This simple flower card turned out so cute! I used one of the pumpkin stamps from the Pumpkin Patch (116499- $22.95) set. This is such a fun set and I used it twice for the Five for $5. I'm so glad I purchased it from the current Holiday Mini! This is a Whisper White card with a Chocolate Chip square and sentiment form the Teeny Tiny Wishes set in Ruby Red ink. The petals are stamped in Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, More Mustard, Creamy Caramel, and Really Rust ink, trimmed and glued on. I tied twine in the center of a button and used Glue Dots to adhere it! Done! Ready to send out!

Sweet Centers Flower

This simple birthday card was my first attempt at using the new Sweet Centers set (116521 - $29.95). I love the way it turned out! I used Barely Banana and the 1 3/4" punch for the center and stamped the petals in Ruby Red and the leaves in Old Olive. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set stamped in Ruby Red ink. The card base is Whisper White... I really need to try to make some cards with colored bases! I just like white so much! Thanks for looking!

Skele-birthday!

I made this card for a friend of my son who has had a birthday recently. He loves pirates and skeletons... The stamp is from the Scary Skeleton set (113244- $13.95) and the party hat was from a retired set but the ones from Party Hearty (111532- $26.95) would work too! I punched the red with the Scallop border punch (112091- $15.95) from Ruby Red cardstock. I stamped the skeleton with white Craft ink(101731- $7.50) and then filled a cotton ball with White Stampin' Pastel chalk (105542-$24.95) and patted it on. Craft ink takes forever to dry and is very messy but putting the chalk over it helps a lot! The sentiment is from the All Holidays set (114916 -$34.95) stamped in Ruby Red ink (102259- $5.95). Thanks for checking it out!

Wow Flowers!

The Wow Flowers stamp set is one of my faves! I love it! On this card, I punched 5 circles with the 1 3/8" punch from various patterned papers in the green family. I then punched a white circle with the 1 3/4" punch and stamped the greeting in the center with Kiwi Kiss ink (retired!) Then I stamped the flower from the set in Kiwi Kiss to break up the white and punched the corners with the Corner rounder punch! Easy and cute!

Berry Thanks!

I made these cute treats for some gals at Church! They helped us out in the Nursery for our RS Enrichment night and I just had to thank them! I thought they turned out pretty cute! It's simply the small cellophane bags from SU!, Ghirardelli chocolates, small tag punch, miscellaneous green paper (not SU!), the Tart & Tangy strawberry, scallop punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, Pink Passion ink & paper, and Garden Green ink! I just put the chocolates in, stapled it shut and glue-dotted the accents on! Quick and easy! Yay!

Cutest Worm!

This set, Bugs and Kisses (116580 - $26.95) is so fun! I used it to make a quick boy birthday card the other day! It turned out too cute! I used Ballet Blue cardstock and ink, Chocolate Chip cardstock, Whisper white cardstock and Creamy Caramel ink. Quick and cute!

Purses!

I have really been into punching lately! Aren't these purses adorable? They are made from the Round Tab punch, the Curly Label punch and the 1 3/4" circle punch. The accents are a 1/2" circle punch, a small oval punch and a bit of the Eyelet Border punch all topped off with cute brads! The handles are made by punching a small oval and then a large oval to make the thin straps. I had so much fun making them! Thanks to Jeanne for letting me use all her paper and brads! Go punch some purses!!!

These purses are faux alligator! Hee hee! Not really! But you do fold a Top Note or a Curly Label punch and then cover the folded part with Versamark, draw lines in the ink and then dump on clear embossing powder and heat!! Easy! Accent with brads and put them on a card, Voila! I haven't put them on cards yet but I just had to share!!! Awesome! Jeanne showed me this technique and it is definitely a keeper! Easy, fast and fun!
